Heading north, Kawana shopping precinct is just 15 minutes drive and Maroochydore is 25 minutes away. Hop onto the Bruce Highway along Bells Creek Arterial Road and it's 40 minutes south to North Lakes and around 75 minutes to Brisbane.

Future City Centre and more facilities to come

A 90 hectare city centre is expected to be the beating heart of Aura Sunshine Coast, to be built over the next two decades.

The city centre will feature a retail precinct, residential city living, a university campus, entertainment centres and cinemas, community spaces and medical. The future city centre will also be home to an emergency services precinct housing police, fire and ambulance.

The Aura Farmers and Twilight Market, a celebration of local produce and crafts, will open in late 2024 on the first Friday of each month.

Construction of the Baringa Sports Complex is currently underway, the fourth sporting facility in Aura – and the largest to date!

Also planned are a lagoon and parklands, modelled on Brisbane's Southbank and entertainment hub with a $45 million hotel. A direct rail connection to Brisbane is expected to be completed by 2032.
