Having a devilishly daring Halloween at home

It’s that ghoulish and blood curdling time of the year where kids don faux fangs and black capes to embrace the horrors and delights of Halloween. And rumour has it, the big kids tend to love the day (and night) as well!
And while trick or treating is one of the highlights for the kids, there are heaps you can do at home to create a harrowing and hilarious Halloween for all family members to dive into and enjoy.
Plantation Homes shows you how!

Theatre room theatrics

The theatre room can be transformed into the ultimate heart thumping movie binge experience.

Set the scene by decorating the theatre room with hanging bats, zany zombies and of course, lots of faux cobwebs.

Whether it is going for the classics like Halloween or IT, to the kids’ friendly films such as Hocus Pocus or Casper, a good old-fashioned movie binge until midnight will just do the trick!

And make sure there are plenty of sweet and savoury snacks on hand so there is no temptation to escape the dungeon of darkness during screentime!

Recipes for disaster!

Forget about chips and fairy bread, let your imagination run wild this Halloween by creating a monstrous menu with all the terrifying trimmings for your family and friends to indulge in.

From severed finger sausage rolls, vampire gingerbread men to skull shaped sandwiches and scary clown cupcakes, getting creative in themed treats will certainly be a crowd pleaser.

And make sure you are all dressed up for the occasion while making these culinary treats. Perhaps you can all be superheroes which have all gone to the ‘dark’ side such as Wicked Wonder Woman or Sinister Superman!

Halloween Interiors

Get creative with the décor

Get the kids involved in transforming their bedrooms to their own frightening forts by making their own decorations.

From paper plate scary pumpkins and bats, pom pom spiders to mummy toilet rolls and cotton ball ghosts, simple things around the house can be transformed into devilishly daring decorations.

Plantation Homes would love to see how you are decorating your home for this Halloween.
